UPDATE: This is an old post from April 2018 when I revamped my website with Wix. I’ve changed yet again and went with WordPress about a year ago.

For any of you who’ve been with me since the start (I’m talking about January 2017), you have likely noticed that my site has undergone some major changes. (yes, again.)
The honest and shortest answer to that is simply because it reeeally needed it.
While my primary focus when I started the blog was on showcasing my design work of planners, stock photos, mockups and printables that I sell in my Etsy shop, I found that I wasn’t using my creativity to its fullest. I enjoying writing and well, just offering some free items every so often didn’t really highlight my personal side or share the interests that I have. So with that discovery, I got rid of most of my old posts… (like 49 of them) and decided I will start over by posting more about lifestyle, travel and blogging and still offer freebies under the “freebies” section of my site. I guess I’m killing two birds with one stone on this idea.
As for the website itself, for months now I’ve gone to other blogger’s sites and felt a sense of “ahhhh” and comfort upon visiting their sites and I knew I wanted that too. I just wasn’t sure how to go about it. For starters, so many bloggers are using WordPress and my knowledge in setting that up is very limited. Since I run an Etsy shop, what time I do have is spent on that, so spending hours and days and maybe even weeks trying to set up a new WordPress site just isn’t in my agenda of things to accomplish, plus the fact that I just don’t have the hundreds of dollars to pay someone to do it. So, I completed it in Wix.
Wix is certainly not something I plan to stick with long term, it’s kinda like the guy you date until you find your real Mr. Right. (get my drift)
Soooo… in the meantime, I love my new site. Love, love, love it. I have some future changes in mind, and will get to that, but for now, I’ve accomplished my “ahhhh” feeling whenever I open my laptop and see my homepage.
I hope you enjoy it too!
